Strengthening Digital Engagement for UHI North, West, and Hebrides

New Beginnings, New Feeds, and a Dash of Island Charm

So, when the brand-new UHI North, West, and Hebrides team reached out to us, they had a pretty tall order: make a merged college’s digital presence feel like one, cohesive voice – something that would feel right at home in the remote yet vibrant communities of the Highlands and Islands.

And let’s just say, we were all in. After all, how often do you get to help shape the online vibe of a rural, island-based college network?

We started by diving deep into their online world. And when I say deep, I mean deep. There were 103 social media accounts (yes, you read that right!), some of which hadn’t been touched in a while. Our first task? Give those accounts a proper audit and figure out how to unify them into one shining digital identity that could celebrate UHI NWH’s cultural roots while engaging a modern, social-savvy audience.

So, What Did We Do? Enter: A Fresh, Unified Approach

The fun part was bringing the UHI NWH team along for the ride. Through a couple of hands-on workshops, we worked on transforming their digital approach to something fresh, authentic, and, well, very UHI NWH. We showed them how to let their stories shine – especially on Facebook Reels, where there’s so much potential to capture the character of the Highlands and Islands. We even set up weekly check-ins to chat through the progress and adjust our approach as needed (you can’t go wrong with a weekly catch-up, right?).

The Result? A More Connected, Island-Worthy Digital Presence

Boy did it pay off. Here’s what we ended up with:

  • A streamlined social media strategy that feels like a perfect fit for UHI NWH’s unique blend of rural charm and academic spirit.
  • A marketing team that’s ready to carry the digital torch across three campuses, full of ideas, and confident to execute them.
  • A digital home base for their Engineering and Sustainability initiatives, creating a space where students, staff, and locals can rally around their shared interests.
Looking Ahead

As UHI North, West, and Hebrides keeps building its digital presence, we’re so excited to see how they keep connecting with their communities, sharing their stories, and engaging a world that’s just as unique as they are. Because let’s be honest, what could be better than helping a college with the heart of the Highlands bring its spirit to life online?

Cornell University

When Cornell first reached out about their annual Alumni Leadership Week, we couldn’t wait to get started! This is the big one for Cornell – a three-day whirlwind of talks, networking, and deep dives into leadership topics held on campus in Ithaca. But this year, they wanted to make it accessible to alumni all over the world. Because not everyone can just hop over to New York, right?

So, we rolled up our sleeves and got to work on making this hybrid vision a reality. The plan was to create a virtual experience that made online attendees feel as close to the action as the folks actually in the room. And we had our work cut out for us: live interactions, online Q&As, breakout sessions, and a whole four-week replay period to boot! Weekly check-ins with Cornell’s alumni team helped us iron out every last detail, and before we knew it, event day was around the corner.
