“Forumm was a pleasure to work with on revitalising our social media guidelines for colleagues at the University of Glasgow.
They helped make them engaging and practical, and the vlog-style training videos we created together are easy to follow and really useful. Thanks to their hands-on approach and expertise our new guidelines with help many colleagues across the University and ensure content is consistent and accessible.
If you need a team to shake things up and set you up for success, Forumm is it!"Emma Gilmartin - Head of Social Media and Student Communications
Let’s be honest – university social media can sometimes feel like spinning plates. You’ve got official channels to manage, research accounts popping up left, right, and centre, and a never-ending need to keep everything clear, engaging, and on-brand. It’s a lot!
So, when the University of Glasgow’s External Relations team wanted to breathe new life into their social media approach, we jumped right in. Our mission? Make social media feel intuitive, accessible, and – dare we say it – fun. From revamping their guidelines to producing binge-worthy educational content, we set out to help UofG staff feel confident and creative online.
Great social media starts with a solid foundation, so we rolled up our sleeves and gave UofG’s guidelines a glow-up. But forget boring PDFs – this was all about clarity, creativity, and making things actually useful.
We packed them with real-life examples, practical tips, and easy-to-follow best practices on everything from copywriting and storytelling to accessibility and community engagement.
These guides weren’t just for new starters, they became a go-to resource for even the most seasoned social media pros looking to sharpen their skills.

No one wants to sit through a dry lecture about hashtags. So, we flipped the script and created vlog-style training videos: snappy, engaging, and packed with real-world advice.
Whether it was finding your social media voice, creating compelling content, or making social media more accessible, we turned best practices into bite-sized, watchable episodes.
And to keep it engaging? We incorporated some fun challenges along the way to keep things interactive!
