This partnership brings together two event-focused platforms committed to using technology to create more human-centered experiences. Forumm will serve as Proventier’s official ticketing supplier, while both companies continue to develop solutions that address real challenges facing event organisers and professionals worldwide.
“We’ve known each other since we were flatmates in London when we worked for the Olympics in 2012,” said Daniel Marrable, CEO of Forumm. “Jon and I have both worked major events around the world and stayed connected across different countries. We’re both from Canada, both have South African roots, and we’re both now building platforms we believe will genuinely help people in the events industry.”
Proventier is a platform connecting professionals, suppliers, companies, and organisations within the global events ecosystem. It captures events of all scales and enables greater awareness and freedom of movement for both people and resources behind the scenes of sporting events, concerts, exhibitions, and more.
The platform currently focuses on global recurring events and job listings for event professionals of all types, and will soon be rolling out professional profiles with availability tracking. Unlike traditional platforms, Proventier will allow professionals to specify their availability, creating a two-way connection between recruitment needs and available talent.
“After every event, the conversation is always the same: where are you going next, what’s your next gig?” said Jon Gillespie, CEO of Proventier. “There weren’t many dedicated resources to figure that out beyond relying on your network. I wanted to create an open platform that makes it free for everyone to connect and discover their next opportunity without the noise of unrelated jobs.”
Gillespie brings 15 years of events experience, having worked on major events including the Vancouver 2010 Olympics, London 2012 Olympics, Baku 2015 European Games, and the FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Both Forumm and Proventier are targeting the events ecosystem with solutions that are genuinely needed. The partnership represents a natural progression for two founders who understand the industry’s challenges firsthand.
“It’s a natural fit,” explained Marrable. “Forumm is approaching events from a ticketing perspective, while Proventier is building an events community platform. We both understand what it’s like to work behind the scenes at major events, and we’re both committed to making technology work for us, not the other way around.”
The partnership creates value for both platforms’ users. Forumm gains exposure to Proventier’s network of global event professionals and organisations, while Proventier’s community benefits from access to Forumm’s ticketing solutions. Event organisers using Proventier can now seamlessly connect with Forumm for their ticketing needs.
“I’m really proud to have Forumm as our official ticketing partner,” said Gillespie. “For Proventier, this partnership validates what we’re building. It shows serious companies in the events space see the value in connecting with our community. And for our users, it means they now have a direct line to quality ticketing solutions when they need them. It’s exactly the kind of ecosystem connection we’re trying to create.”
“From my perspective, what’s really valuable is the event listings on Proventier,” said Marrable. “We can offer our Forumm clients additional visibility for their events on a global scale.”
As both platforms continue to develop and evolve their technology, the partnership positions them to explore additional areas of collaboration. Proventier is expanding its platform from event listings, jobs and professional profiles into other verticals within the ecosystem, and is building tools that will streamline common processes, while Forumm continues to innovate in the ticketing space.
“We’re both at stages where we’re shaping, shifting, and updating our technology,” said Marrable. “This partnership is about supporting each other’s initiatives as we grow and finding ways to create value for the events community we both serve.”
Event organisers and professionals can now benefit from the combined strengths of both platforms, accessing Forumm’s ticketing solutions through Proventier’s growing network.
